CSK vs MI IPL 2026: Chennai Super Kings batter Sarfaraz Khan demonstrated superb fielding skills, enabling the team to dismiss Mumbai Indians batter Naman Dhir, who had reached his fifty at Chepauk stadium in their IPL 2026 match on Saturday. Khan timed his leap perfectly to grab Naman's catch, ending a gritty innings of 57 runs from 37 balls and securing Jamie Overton's wicket.

MI captain Hardik Pandya won the toss and chose to bat. The hosts struck early when Will Jacks departed cheaply, but Ryan Rickleton and Naman Dhir revived the team with a 58-run stand. After the power play, Noor Ahmed removed Rickleton, who tallied 37 runs from 24 balls.
Ghosh bowled superbly, securing his first wicket by removing Suryakumar Yadav after 21 runs. Noor Ahmed then dismissed Tilak Varma for five, with captain Ruturaj Gaikwad taking the catch.

Dhir battled alone, smashing his second fifty of the year, but Jamie Overton claimed his wicket with a slower ball, as Sarfaraz Khan completed a brilliant catch. Kamboj picked up three wickets, dismissing Robin Minz and Hardik Pandya, and helped the team limit MI to 159.

While chasing, Ruturaj Gaikwad's side suffered an early setback as Sanju Samson departed for just 11 runs in Jasprit Bumrah's over. Urvil Patel contributed 24 runs from 12 balls before Allah Ghazanfar dismissed him. Kartik Sharma and Ruturaj built a strong partnership, helping the hosts reach 100 runs by the end of the power play.
