RR vs MI IPL 2026 Toss Update: The IPL 2026 has shifted its base to the northeast as a high-flying Rajasthan Royals will lock horns with the Mumbai Indians at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati on Tuesday. The Rajasthan-based franchise will look to maintain its winning momentum. At the same time, the Mumbai Indians will aim to bounce back after losing to the Delhi Capitals in their last match, making the upcoming match quite important for both teams.
The Riyan Parag-led side is currently part of the top three after defeating CSK by eight wickets and then surviving a nervy six-run win against the Gujarat Titans. Their strength lies in their aggressive opening pair of Yashasvi Jaiswal and Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, whereas Dhruv Jurel has also performed consistently as a middle-order batter.
As far as their bowling lineup is concerned, Ravi Bishnoi (4/41 during their last match) will be the one to watch out for on a pitch that will assist the spinners. Since the North East is currently experiencing rainfall regularly, fast bowlers Jofra Archer and Nandre Burger will also get assistance from the extra moisture on the pitch.

At the same time, the Hardik Pandya-led side will try to stay consistent. After defeating KKR in their tournament opener, they lost their last match to Delhi Capitals, scoring just 162 runs. They had got a huge boost as their regular captain Hardik Pandya is expected to return after missing their previous match owing to illness.
Suryakumar Yadav showed glimpses of his old self by smashing a half-century in their previous match. Still, the Mumbai-based franchise is hopeful that their bowlers can rattle RR's formidable batting attack.
The pitch in Guwahati is generally batter-friendly, but overcast conditions and afternoon thunderstorms have complicated matters. The humidity will be around 70%, and dew is also expected to play a role during the match.

Whichever captain wins the toss will choose to bowl first, so they don't have to face the disadvantage of batting first. If the Riyan Parag-led side wins the match on Tuesday, then they will become the table toppers, and as far as MI is concerned, they will try to prove that they are still the side to beat during an important match.
RR Vs MI, IPL 2026: Toss Update
The toss for the IPL 2026 match between Rajasthan Royals and Mumbai Indians has been delayed due to a wet outfield caused by persistent rainfall in Guwahati.
Guwahati has experienced continuous rainfall with thunderstorms since the afternoon. The rain intensity has decreased after pelting for an hour, but the outfield was badly affected, which is why the toss was delayed.
