IPL 2026 Orange Cap List: India batting stalwarts Virat Kohli and KL Rahul will be seen facing each other as Delhi Capitals (DC) face Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in the 39th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026, which will take place at Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi. Apart from the points table, the clash between DC and RCB will also make a shift in the Orange Cap tally of the tournament.

After RCB's last game against the Gujarat Titans, Kohli held a strong position, but a series of explosive innings from other players has seen him slip down the ranks. As of today, Sunrisers Hyderabad’s Abhishek Sharma leads the pack with 380 runs.

The Stakes for Kohli and Rahul

Virat Kohli currently sits in 6th place with 328 runs from seven matches. The math for the "Run Machine" is simple: if he manages to score 53 runs tonight, he will leapfrog Abhishek Sharma to reclaim the Orange Cap. However, he isn't the only one with his eyes on the prize.

DC wicketkeeper batter KL Rahul is in the form of his life. In his last outing against the Punjab Kings (PBKS), Rahul played a sensational unbeaten knock of 152* off just 67 balls, which is the highest score by an Indian in IPL history.

Despite his record-breaking ton, DC ended up on the losing side after Punjab chased down a historic 265-run target. Rahul is currently tied for second place with 357 runs. He needs only 24 runs tonight to take over the top spot from Abhishek Sharma.
