MI vs LSG IPL 2026: Mumbai Indians openers Rohit Sharma and Ryan Rickleton propelled the team to a six-wicket victory over Lucknow Super Giants at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Monday. Rohit delivered an impressive 84 off 44 balls, while Rickleton contributed a decisive 83 off 32 balls.

Both the openers stitched a brilliant partnership of 143 runs and helped the team chase the target in 18.4 overs as the Suryakumar Yadav-led side registered their win after playing in 10 matches and have scored six points. 

On the other hand, the Lucknow-based franchise are still languishing at the last position in the points table after scoring just four points of the nine matches that they have played till now.

During the first innings, LSG were able too bounce back as Nicholas Pooran brought up his first fifty of the ongoing season and helped the team post a mammoth target of 228 runs. 

The Rishabh Pant-led side on the back of a brilliant knock by Pooran whereas opener Mitchell Marsh also scored a gritty knock of 44 runs as the team had put up a much-better batting performance during their ninth match. 

But captain Pant's lean patch with  the bat continued as he could score just 15 runs and then Aiden Markram (31 not out) along with Himmat Singh (40 not out) gave the team a late surge .
