IPL 2026: Arjun Tendulkar is quite eager to impress Lucknow Super Giants skipper Rishabh Pant. A video of him bowling toe-crushing Yorkers to Pant during a training session has gone viral on social media.

Traded from the Mumbai Indians to LSG at his base price before the auction last year, Arjun still hasn't played a single match yet. The youngster has played just five matches in the IPL so far, all for MI, and has taken three wickets at a brilliant economy rate of 9.36.

Arjun, the son of legendary Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, has revealed that he doesn't worry too much about proving anything to anyone and is just trying to work on his own game.

“I play cricket for my passion, and not to prove anything to anyone. I focus on the process of working hard and enjoying my game," Arjun Tendulkar was quoted as saying on Shubhankar Mishra's YouTube channel.

Given Arjun's recent form and the viral video, there is now much discussion about whether he will get a chance to play for LSG this season.

Ex-India spinner R Ashwin has insisted that Arjun will face stiff competition to get selected in LSG's playing XI.

“Arjun Tendulkar khelega hi nahi (Arjun Tendulkar won’t play at all), and let us not even go there. I think it is very difficult because there are Mayank Yadav, Mohsin Khan, Avesh Khan, and Mohammad Shami in this lineup," Ashwin was quoted as saying on his YouTube channel.

Responding to Ashwin’s comments, Yograj Singh, who briefly coached Arjun, strongly disagreed with his assessment.

Yograj Singh was quoted as disagreeing with R Ashwin's assessment, questioning Ashwin's comments on Arjun's selection. Inside Sport reported Singh's remarks.

After winning one match and losing as many, the Rishabh Pant-led side is lying at the seventh position in the points table.
