SRH vs DC IPL 2026: Delhi Capitals star wicket-keeper batter KL Rahul is on the cusp of achieving a huge feat in the history of this tournament as he needs to score just 50 runs during their match against Sunrisers Hyderabad to surpass MS Dhoni and become the sixth-highest run-getter in the history of this tournament. Rahul will be entering this match riding high on confidence, as he had scored a match-winning knock during their match against Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the M Chinnaswamy stadium, which is also his home ground when he plays in domestic cricket.
The Delhi Capitals wicketkeeper-batter has made some changes to his approach in the ongoing season, batting more aggressively. He is currently batting at a strike rate of 170, having smashed a four every 2.6 balls, which shows his aggressive mindset as an opener.
He has scored 168 runs in five matches at a brilliant average of 33.60, including two fifties, and his highest individual score is 192.

Closing in on MS Dhoni
Speaking about his IPL career, Rahul has played for multiple teams, including Sunrisers Hyderabad, Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Punjab Kings, Lucknow Super Giants, and now Delhi Capitals. He has scored 5390 runs in 150 matches at a brilliant average of 45.67 and a staggering strike rate of 136.83.
He also has smashed five hundreds and 42 half-centuries, with his highest individual score being 132 runs.
At the same time, legendary CSK wicket-keeper batter MS Dhoni has scored 5439 runs across 278 matches at an average of 38.30 and a strike rate of 137.45, including 24 half-centuries, with his highest individual score of 64.
Rahul has already broken Dhoni's record of smashing the most half-centuries as a wicket-keeper batter in the history of this tournament, as he has smashed 31 fifties as compared to Dhoni's 24. If Rahul can surpass Dhoni on Tuesday, then he will try to break Suresh Raina's next record, who is lying at the fifth position in the list of the highest run-scorers, as he had scored 5528 runs.
