DC vs RR IPL 2026: Delhi Capitals star openers Abhishek Porel and KL Rahul powered the team's five-wicket victory over Rajasthan Royals at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on Sunday. Abhishek delivered a match-winning knock with 51 runs off 31 balls, while KL Rahul anchored the chase with 56 runs off 42 balls.

Porel, who had played in just his third match this year, looked in sublime form in his knock of 51 runs off 31 balls whereas KL Rahul made a brilliant comeback after a few disappointing performances as he scored 56 runs off 42 balls and helped the team chase the target of 194 runs in 19.2 overs.

The opening duo had built a brilliant partnership of 105 runs and had set the base for their win and then skipper Axar Patel scored a gritty knock of 34 runs off 18 balls and took the team across the line.

Mitchell Starc was the pick among the DC bowlers as he bowled brilliantly and helped the host restrict the Rajastha-based franchise for just 193 runs.

He rattled their middle-batting order during the 15th over as he dismissed batters like Riyan Parag (51), Donovan Ferreira (0) and Ravi Singh (4). He had taken wickets on the second, third and fifth ball of the single over and thus fell short of a well-deserved hat-trick.

Even after suffering a batting collapse, the Riyan Parag-led side posted a respectable target on the back of brilliant fifties by captain Parag and Dhruv Jurel, who had scored a gritty knock of 53 runs off 40 balls whereas star opener Vaibhav Sooryavanshi also scored 46 runs.
