RCB vs GT Qualifier 1: Gujarat Titans star bowler Kagiso Rabada etched his name into history during Qualifier 1 against Royal Challengers Bengaluru in Dharamshala on Tuesday. The Protea pacer seized the record for most wickets during a power play in a single edition, after he dismissed Venkatesh Iyer in the high-octane match.
Rabada hurled a lengthy delivery aimed at the stumps, prompting Iyer to swing big but only slice a top edge. GT skipper Shubman Gill, stationed at mid-off, sprinted backward and snatched a stunning catch.
With this wicket, Rabada overtook Mohammed Shami's tally, who had captured 17 wickets during the power play in IPL 2023.

The Rajat Patidar-led side has also made one change to its playing XI, with Jacob Duffy replacing Romario Shepherd.

Both teams finished in the top two of the points table with 18 points apiece, but were separated by NRR.
These two teams have a head-to-head record of 1-1 this year and 4-4 in the history of this tournament.
One of the five matches that the Rajat Patidar-led side surrendered this year was against GT, whose bowlers pounded them relentlessly. But the reigning champions struck back during their second meeting.
Both of these teams are chasing their second trophy. The Rajat Patidar-led side fights to defend their title, while the Gujarat-based franchise targets their second trophy after clinching their maiden title in 2022.
