ICC Test Rankings: India's fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah retains his No.1 ranking in the latest ICC Test rankings. Batters Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shubman Gill occupy eighth and ninth positions, respectively.
Bumrah leads the bowlers' rankings with 879 rating points, facing intense competition from elite fast bowlers worldwide. Mohammed Siraj is the highest-ranked Indian after Bumrah at 12th. All-rounder Ravindra Jadeja is ranked 14th, and spinner Kuldeep Yadav sits at 15th in the latest rankings.
Australia's Test captain Pat Cummins and Mitchell Starc climb one spot each, holding second and fourth positions. New Zealand fast bowler Matt Henry moves up to third after consistent performances.
England's star Test batter Joe Root has maintained his top position after scoring 880 points, demonstrating his pivotal role in England's batting lineup. India's Yashasvi Jaiswal is eighth after scoring 750 points, reflecting his breakthrough performances in recent Test matches, while skipper Shubman Gill, who moved up one spot, secured ninth after scoring 730 points, emphasizing his direct impact on India's batting success.
England's Harry Brook rises to second among batters, while Australia's Travis Head and Steve Smith claim third and fourth positions.
Gill enjoyed a standout year in 2025, leading all run scorers. He amassed 983 runs in nine Test matches at an impressive average of 70.21, including several centuries. His career-best 269 came against the Ben Stokes-led team, underscoring his dominance in this format.

It is important to note that the Men in Blue have not played in the longest format this year. Their last Test match was against South Africa in November, resulting in a 2-0 home series defeat.
