GT vs RR IPL 2026 Qualifier 2: Rajasthan Royals skipper Riyan Parag won the toss and boldly opted to bat first during the gripping second Qualifier in Mullanpur. Whichever team triumphs in the match will challenge Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the summit clash on Sunday. The toss sparked drama as the match official failed to catch Parag's decision, prompting a repeat, where Parag clearly announced his choice after Shubman Gill spun the coin.

At the same time, the Riyan Parag-led side had defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad during the Eliminator and they will lock horns with Gujarat Titans to qualify for the summit clash.

The Shubman Gill-led side will be a little less confident as they were thrashed by the Rajat Patidar-led side during the first Qualifier. At the same time, the Rajasthan-based franchise are quiet confident after the way Vaibhav Sooryavanshi took the SRH bowlers to the cleaners.

GT Vs RR: What the captains had to say

Riyan Parag (Rajasthan Royals Captain): "We are going to bat first. Pretty much the same wicket. I just feel at the back end, it slows down a bit. We have the bowlers to exploit it.

[On today's knockout fixture] We have had those games for the last three games. Everyone wants the win. The messaging is simple. We have to play good cricket for 40 overs. Whichever team plays good cricket, wins.

[How has everyone recovered?] Everyone is hanging by a thread. I'm especially hanging by a thread. Everything is been done for the team. Now, it's game time. No matter who has injury or not, we have to give our best.

Shubman Gill (Gujarat Titans captain): " (What would they have done?) We would have batted first. 40 overs of play has already happened (on this pitch). I don't think it would change much. Unfortunately, I don't think the referee heard the call from Riyan.

(Mindset coming into this game) There is everything to play for. It is a 'now or never' situation.

(Team news) One change: Sai (Kishore) comes back."
