GT vs RR IPL 2026: A young pacer has grabbed the attention during the IPL 2026 match between the Gujarat Titans and the Rajasthan Royals, and not just due to the way he performed, but for his speed as well. Ashok Sharma, who is currently playing for the Gujarat Titans, had bowled the fastest delivery of the ongoing season, and that too at the speed of 154.2 kmph to Dhruv Jurel, which had left everyone stunned.

The young fast bowler had continuously bowled at quick speeds, by surpassing 145kmph regularly, and had even crossed 150 twice during the same over. His one delivery, which he had bowled at the speed of 154.2 kmph, had become the IPL 2026's fastest delivery and had even surpassed Anrich Nortje's delivery of 150.9 kmph.

Sharma had got his IPL selection on the back of a brilliant performance during the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, where he had become Rajasthan's highest wicket-getter. The Gujarat-based franchise backed him by selecting him in the playing XI, and Ashok has repaid their faith so far.

Despite Sharma’s pace, the Riyan Parag-led side set a massive 210-run target batting first. Yashasvi Jaiswal and Vaibhav Sooryavanshi gave the team a strong start with a 69-run power play.

Jaiswal even smashed a brilliant fifty, whereas Dhruv Jurel scored a brilliant knock of 74 runs off 42 balls.

The Rajasthan-based franchise did suffer a batting collapse in the middle overs, but Jurel's knock ensured they posted a target of more than 200. The Gujarat bowlers helped the team bounce back in the last few overs, but they still had to chase a mammoth target.

Since the Gujarat Titans are already playing without their regular skipper, Shubman Gill, the question will be whether they can chase this target against a formidable Rajasthan team.
