Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) batter Tim David is making headlines after a video allegedly showed him making an offensive gesture following the team's tense win against Mumbai Indians (MI) at Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium, Raipur.
The clip, which went viral online after the match, shows David making a middle-finger gesture from the RCB dugout after their win against MI. However, the video has not been officially verified, and there is no confirmation about what exactly happened or the reason behind the gesture. Here is the clip.
Tim David showing the middle finger demonstrates how harsh MI management was toward the players..... even Hardik Pandya unfollowed & deleted all MI related posts..... pic.twitter.com/MROG1DaKWb

The match itself was already full of drama. Chasing 167 runs, RCB needed 15 runs in the final over and looked under pressure after Romario Shepherd got out. At that point, MI seemed favourites to win the game.

But Bhuvneshwar Kumar changed the momentum with an important six before Rasikh Salam Dar finished the chase on the last ball to complete a memorable win for Bengaluru.
As the RCB camp erupted in celebration, cameras captured emotional reactions from players and support staff. During those scenes, David’s alleged gesture caught the attention of fans online.
David's relation with MI
Interestingly, David previously played three seasons for Mumbai Indians before joining RCB in the 2025 auction. Since moving to Bengaluru, he has become an important player in the batting lineup and also played a key role in the team’s IPL 2025 title-winning campaign. Last season, the Australian batter scored 187 runs in 12 matches at an average of 62.33 and a strike rate of over 185.
However, David did not enjoy a good outing against his former side in Raipur. He came in during a crucial stage of the chase but was dismissed for a golden duck by Corbin Bosch.
