DC vs MI IPL 2026: Suryakumar Yadav is currently captaining the Mumbai Indians during their IPL 2026 match on Saturday. The match is being held at the Arun Jaitley Stadium against the Delhi Capitals, where the stand-in MI captain came to the crease at No. 4 and scored a brilliant knock of 51 runs off 36 balls. In his knock, he had smashed three fours and two sixes for MI and had stitched a 53-run partnership for the third wicket with Rohit Sharma, who had scored 35 runs off 26 balls. Surya, who had smashed two sixes, had joined Rohit Sharma and Kierron Pollard in an elite list of batters. He had become the third cricketer to have smashed 150 sixes for the Mumbai-based franchise.
Surya, who was retained by MI for a whopping amount of Rs 16.35 crore before the IPL 2025 mega auction, had smashed 150 sixes after playing in 116 IPL matches for the Mumbai-based franchise. He had to hit a few sixes against the Axar Patel-led side to enter the 150-sixes list, and he did achieve this milestone by smashing a six in Kuldeep Yadav's over. He had also hit a six during the eighth over of the first innings, which Axar Patel bowled.
Rohit Sharma has the record of smashing the most sixes for MI in this tournament. He had also smashed one six on Saturday, and his tally now stands at 274 after playing in 238 IPL matches. Kierron Pollard is lying in the second position in this list as he has hit 258 sixes after playing in 211 matches.
