DC vs MI IPL 2026: Delhi Capitals are unbeaten in the ongoing season of the IPL till now, as they have won their second consecutive match, defeating the Mumbai Indians by six wickets in Delhi on Saturday. Sameer Rizvi helped the Delhi-based franchise chase the target of 163 runs by scoring a match-winning knock of 90 runs off just 51 balls, and has scored 160 runs himself in this year as he had hit his second consecutive half-century and surpassed Mumbai Indians' Rohit Sharma, who had, for a while, become the Orange Cap holder.
Rizvi had honestly analyzed himself to improve his game so that he could score big knocks, and also talked about how important it was to perform in their backyard.
“I’ve worked a lot. I’ve worked on my weaknesses. I wasn’t as good against fast bowlers," he told broadcasters during the post-match presentation.

“I try to play according to the situation. I took time, got set, and then played my shots. I tried to watch the ball as long as possible," Rizvi emphasized that his knock helped the host to continue their winning streak as the Axar Patel-led side is aiming to lift their maiden title this year.
“If you score runs here, you get a lot of confidence and opportunities for us youngsters," he concluded.
The Suryakumar Yada-led side posted a target of 162 runs on the back of a brilliant fifty by stand-in captain Suryakumar Yadav himself. In contrast, Rohit Sharma and Naman Dhir also made significant contributions with the bat. Mukesh Kumar was the pick among the DC bowlers as Axar Patel, Lungi Ngidi, and Vipraj Nigam took one wicket apiece.
Pathum Nissanka gave the team a flying start as he scored a gritty knock of 44 runs but then was dismissed by Mitchell Santner and then Rizvi snatched the match away from the hands of the opponents by smashing seven fours and as many sixes in his match-winning knock and helped DC become the table toppers after scoring four points and a brilliant NRR as compared to Punjab Kings, who too are unbeaten till now.
