DC vs MI IPL 2026: Star Indian batter Rohit Sharma is currently playing as an opener for the Mumbai Indians during their IPL 2026 match against the Delhi Capitals on Saturday and has scored a gritty knock of 35 runs off 26 balls. He had smashed five fours and one six in his knock and then Nitish Rana too his catch in Axar Patel's over. But before he got out during the 10th over, Rohit scripted history. He surpassed MS Dhoni's tally of smashing the most sixes against a single team in this tournament as an Indian batter.

Dhoni, who will be representing CSK in the ongoing season, has smashed 50 sixes till now against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru. Still, Rohit broke this record by smashing his 51st six during Vipraj Nigam's over against the Delhi Capitals.

Chris Gayle has the record of smashing the most sixes against a single team in this tournament. He had smashed 61 sixes after playing in 16 IPL matches against the Punjab Kings, where he represented two teams- the Kolkata Knight Riders and the Royal Challengers Bengaluru. He had hit 54 sixes after playing in 19 IPL matches against KKR while representing RCB and PBKS.
