DC vs CSK IPL 2026: Ex-India fast bowler Dodda Ganesh unabashedly criticized the Delhi Capitals. The DC team management's choice to omit David Miller for the second consecutive match of the ongoing season frustrated him. The hosts opted for Pathum Nissanka during their IPL 2026 match against Chennai Super Kings on Tuesday. Although the opener produced a fifty against the Rajasthan Royals, he failed against the Chennai franchise, getting out after scoring only 19 runs.
Ganesh emphasized that bringing in Miller could have strengthened the middle order, and choosing Shaw, Rana, or Porel to partner KL Rahul as openers would have better utilized their batting talent.
The ex-Indian pacer launched a pointed critique, stating that DC lacks seriousness and their exclusion of Miller is illogical.

“There’s so much Indian batting talent available in Delhi’s camp. They can so easily open with Shaw/Rana/Porel along with KL, & have Miller in the middle order. Instead, the geniuses play Nissanka at the top & drop Miller. Tell me, how can this be a serious cricket team? #IPL2026,” Dodda Ganesh had written on his official X account.

The Axar call
During their IPL 2026 match against the Ruturaj Gaikwad-led side, DC skipper Axar Patel won the toss and elected to bat first. This decision backfired as they were floundering at 69/5 in the 11th over. The pitch favored spinners, with Noor Ahmed and Akeal Hossein exploiting these conditions to claim three wickets collectively.
The hosts could have collapsed if not for Tristan Stubbs and Sameer Rizvi, who revived the team with a 65-run partnership for the sixth wicket, posting a 155-run target. Stubbs contributed a determined 38, while Rizvi added an unbeaten 40. Noor Ahmed stood out among the CSK bowlers, registering impressive figures of 2/22 in three overs.

DC managed to surpass 150 runs due to a 20-run final over. Ashutosh Sharma added a brisk 14 off five balls, giving bowlers a respectable target to defend. The hosts fielded one bowler fewer, as the management listed Sameer Rizvi among the impact players.
