CSK vs PBKS, IPL 2026: The buzz around MS Dhoni refuses to die down, and ahead of Chennai Super Kings' IPL 2026 clash against Punjab Kings, the same question is once again doing the rounds -- will MS Dhoni play tonight?

As of now, there is no indication from the Chennai Super Kings camp that the veteran will miss the game. Dhoni has been travelling with the squad and has taken part in team activities, and importantly, there have been no reports of any injury or fitness concern. That, in itself, suggests that he is very much in contention to feature in today's match.

Dhoni's role has changed significantly over the last couple of seasons. He is no longer the player CSK rely on in the middle overs. Instead, he has been used more as a finisher, someone who walks in late and maximises the final few balls if not overs. The Impact Player rule has further allowed CSK to manage his workload smartly, ensuring he remains effective without being overburdened physically.

For fans, however, it's more about watching a legend in action once again. Unless there is a last-minute change at the toss, all signs point towards Dhoni taking the field.
