PBKS vs GT IPL 2026: Cooper Connolly scored a match-winning knock of 72 runs off 44 balls and helped Punjab Kings defeat Gujarat Titans by three wickets during his debut IPL match in Mullanpur on Tuesday. He helped the team chase the target of 165 runs with five balls remaining.
Cooper Connolly had hit a brilliant unbeaten half-century and helped the Punjab-based franchise beat Gujarat Titans by three wickets during their tournament opener on Tuesday.
PBKS' brilliant bowling effort did stop GT to just 162/6 where Vijaykumar Vyshak (3/34), Yuzvendra Chahal (2/28) and Marco Jansen (1/20) took wickets at regular intervals after PBKS won the toss and chose to bowl first.

As far as Gujarat Titans is concerned, captain Shubman Gill (39), Jos Buttler (38), Glenn Phillips (25) and Washington Sundfar (18) scored most of the runs.
The Shreyas Iyer-led side chased the target in 19.1 overs where Cooper Connolly was their highest run-scorer as he had scored 72 runs off 44 balls.
Prasidh Krishna (3/29), Rashid Khan (1/29) and Washington Sundar (1/27) were the pick among the GT bowlers.
