KKR vs SRH IPL 2026: Cameron Green, who became the center of a huge controversy for not bowling during KKR's tournament opener against the Mumbai Indians last week, has now started bowling. KKR took to its official X account and posted a video before their second match against SRH at their backyard on Thursday, where the star all-rounder, who was roped in for a whopping amount of Rs. 25.20 crore by the Kolkata-based franchise during the IPL auction last year, was seen bowling in the nets.
As per KKR captain Ajinkya Rahane, Green didn't bowl during their match against the Mumbai Indians owing to the instructions given by Cricket Australia. According to reports, the Australian cricket board told Green not to bowl during the IPL.
But Rahane's statements during the post-match press conference led to both Green and Cricket Australia being criticized, which is why he was seen bowling a day before the match against SRH.

Green, who has taken 14 wickets after representing Australia in 28 T20I matches, has featured in 30 IPL games to date, across three franchises, and, except for the match against MI in Mumbai last week, has bowled at least one over in all the others. He has taken 16 wickets in this tournament and is expected to play a huge role for the Kolkata-based franchise this season.
CA hit back at Rahane
Last week, when the Ajinkya Rahane-led side couldn't successfully defend the mammoth target of 224 runs against the Mumbai-based franchise, the KKR captain was asked why Green didn't bowl during the match. Rahane didn't even hesitate and replied, “That question you need to ask Cricket Australia."
And then, earlier this week, CA replied that Green had sustained a lower back injury, which was why he didn't bowl for a short while, and KKR didn't know.

“Cameron has a lower back injury, which is being managed but requires him to abstain from bowling for a short period," a CA spokesperson revealed.
“Cameron is currently rebuilding his bowling loads in India with a view to returning in around 10-12 days. KKR has been communicated with and is aware of this information,"he concluded.
