KKR vs SRH IPL 2026: KKR skipper has provided some good news for their fans before the match against Sunrisers Hyderabad, as he is hopeful that Cameron Green will begin to bowl soon. Green was roped in by the Kolkata-based franchise for a whopping Rs 25.2 crore at the auction and was supposed to replace Andre Russell.

The star Australian all-rounder was bought for a huge amount, with the idea that he would also make a significant contribution with the ball. But after losing to MI in their tournament opener, Green didn't bowl, drawing heavy scrutiny from both fans and experts, given the price tag he was bought for.

After the first match, Rahane emphasized that Cricket Australia was preventing Green from bowling, and the Australian cricket board had to respond.

Green was seen bowling full tilt during the training session one day before the match against SRH IN Kolkata, where Abhishek Nayar came out in Green's defense.

During the toss, Rahane revealed that Green had done everything right till now and was trying to regain full fitness so he could bowl again.

"He is doing all the things that he needs to do, physio and training. Our training is looking after him really well. All that I can say is that you will see him bowl very soon," Rahane was heard as saying at the toss.

KKR's INEXPERIENCED BOWLING NEEDS TO STEP UP

KKR's bowling attack has been dealt a huge blow this year as both Harshit Rana and Akash Deep have been ruled out owing to injuries, and Matheesha Pathirana hasn't joined the Kolkata-based franchise yet. The hosts have fielded the same XI they used in the tournament opener against MI, and Rahane has asked the inexperienced bowling attack to rise to the occasion in their first home game.

"The bowling unit, which is a bit inexperienced, needs to do better. Hopefully, they will do really well tonight," he added.

Ajinkya Rahane won the toss and chose to bowl first in the match against SRH.
