BCCI Naman Awards 2026: The entire Indian cricket fraternity attended the BCCI Naman Awards, where the board honored both current and former players for their significant contributions to Indian cricket. This event followed a series of major tournament victories by Indian teams between 2024 and 2026. Players from the Indian men's, women's, and U-19 teams attended, along with BCCI officials.

Among the celebrations, fans noticed a mistake by the broadcasters during an on-stage interaction with the men's and women's team skippers. Harmanpreet Kaur spoke about the women's ODI World Cup win, and Suryakumar Yadav addressed the men's recent T20 victory.

The error occurred when the broadcast graphics incorrectly labeled Gill as the skipper of the Champions Trophy-winning team while he discussed India's victory.
