Bangladesh vs Pakistan Live Streaming: Pakistan and Bangladesh will lock horns in a two-Test series, and the opening Test is scheduled to start from May 8 at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium. Both Asian sides feature in the red ball series against each other with a mix of fresh faces and experienced stars.
Bangladesh enter the two-match series with confidence after strong performances in home Tests over the last few years, especially on spin-friendly pitches that have often troubled visiting sides. Led by Najmul Hossain Shanto, the hosts have also added new talent to the squad.
Young batters Tanzid Hasan Tamim and Amite Hasan have received their maiden Test call-ups after impressive displays in domestic cricket. Tanzid has already caught attention with his performances in white-ball cricket, while Amite earned his place through consistent runs at the domestic level.
Bangladesh’s bowling attack has also received a boost with the return of pacers Taskin Ahmed and Shoriful Islam. Spinner Nayeem Hasan is back in the Test squad as well. Senior players like Mushfiqur Rahim, Litton Das and Mehidy Hasan Miraz are expected to play key roles and guide the younger members of the squad during crucial moments.
Pakistan, meanwhile, arrive with a new-look support staff and fresh energy under captain Shan Masood. Former skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed has taken over as head coach, with Asad Shafiq working as batting coach and Umar Gul handling the bowling department.
The selectors have also rewarded domestic performers, handing first-time call-ups to Abdullah Fazal, Amad Butt, Azan Awais and Muhammad Ghazi Ghori.
However, Pakistan suffered a major setback just before the opening Test after star batter Babar Azam was ruled out of the Dhaka match because of a left knee injury.
Despite Babar’s absence, Pakistan will still rely heavily on experienced fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi to lead the attack. Their batters, meanwhile, will have to deal with the difficult challenge of facing spin and reverse swing in Bangladesh’s testing conditions.
