West Bengal Election Results Updates: As the Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) is leading in the majority of seats in West Bengal till the afternoon and is expected to clinch a landslide victory in the eastern state for the very first time, Harsh Goenka, Chairman - RPG Enterprises, said that the development is a delighted moment for the business community in Bengal.

In a post on X, Goenka said, the BJP victory will help bring the state on a development path, and people will have more jobs as the doors for investment will open.

"Bengal’s business community is absolutely delighted with the result of Bengal elections: 1. Development will be back on the agenda 2. Jobs and investments will follow 3. A stronger, more cohesive social climate will emerge," Goenka wrote.

He further said that this is the moment that Bengal's economy was waiting for.

"A decisive mandate for the BJP is the catalyst Bengal’s economy has been waiting for," he added.

West Bengal Election Result Trends

According to the Election Commission website, the BJP is leading at over 190 seats, crossing the majority mark of 148. AITMC was leading at 0ver 90 seats.

As per the trends, the BJP seems to be performing very well in the areas of Greater Kolkata, the strongest stronghold of the Trinamool Congress.

Following the BJP's performance in the West Bengal election 2026, celebrations will be held at the BJP headquarters in Delhi. PM Modi will also attend the event.

Meanwhile, Celebrations erupted outside the BJP office in Kolkata, as the party crossed the majority mark in the state.
