Punjab National Bank, the second-largest public sector lender, signed an exclusive memorandum of understanding with the Indian Army. Under the agreement, the bank will offer two credit cards with curated benefits for serving Army personnel.  PNB LUXURA Metal Credit Card will be issued to officers, while the PNB Parakram Credit Card can be availed by Junior Commissioned Officers (JCOs) and other ranks personnel.

The cards will offer a range of lifestyle and financial benefits for Army personnel that follow: 

1- They will get 3 per cent cashback on payment for purchases at Canteen Stores Department (CSD) outlets.

 2- They will be able to avail complimentary domestic and international airport lounge access at airports. This brings comfort to them while waiting for flights. 

3- These credit cards offer zero forex markup. 

4- PNB will offer Buy One Get One movie ticket benefits to Army personnel.  

5- Additionally, the cards offer complimentary golf lessons and other lifestyle benefits.

On top of all the above, the PNB Parakram Credit Card has a unique feature—it is a biodegradable card, offering an environmentally conscious alternative, PNB said.

PNB-Indian Army MOU Deepens Relationship: PNB

The MoU was signed by Major General VK Purohit and PNB General Manager, Credit Card Division, Deepak Kumar, at the Indian Army Headquarters in Delhi. Senior Army and PNB officials, including Lieutenant General Biresh Pratap Singh Kaushik, Lieutenant General Rajeev Puri, PNB MD and CEO Ashok Chandra, and PNB Chief General Manager Sudhir Dalal, were present on the occasion.

"PNB shares a deep-rooted association with the Indian Armed Forces, built on mutual trust, respect and a shared commitment to the nation. Through the partnership, PNB is extending its relationship with the Armed Forces by offering financial products designed around the requirements of Army personnel,” Chandra said at the event. 

He said this partnership further strengthens its commitment to supporting the Armed Forces community by providing products that combine convenience, value and unique lifestyle benefits.
