Textile Stock Under Rs 5: The shares of small-cap company Nandan Denim rose nearly 10 per cent amid a highly volatile market after the company announced entry into a renewable energy special purpose vehicle. The stock started the session in green at Rs 2.73 as compared to the last day's closing of Rs 2.69 on NSE. However, witnessing a substantial buying interest, the stock soared nearly 10 per cent to hit an intraday high at Rs 3.05.
At the time of writing, the stock was trading at Rs 2.90, up Rs 0.21 or 7.81 per cent.
In the last session, the small-cap stock settled nearly 2 per cent higher. Meanwhile, its 52-week high and low values stood at Rs 4.42 and 1.80, respectively.

Stake Acquisition In Renewable Sector
The Nandan Denim board of directors approved the purchase of a 6.1 per cent equity stake in Opera Vayu (Narmada) Private Limited, which is a special-purpose vehicle (SPV).
The SPV is set up for renewable energy generation under the captive power framework.
In a recent exchange filing, the firm announced entering into a share Transfer cum Shareholders' Agreement with the Special Purpose Vehicle (Opera Vayu (Narmada) Private Limited) and Shivman Wind Energy Private Limited.
According to the filing, the company will buy approximately 6.1% of the SPV's shares.
Share Price History
In the last five sessions, the stock rose over 10 per cent. In a month, the company shares escalated nearly 30 per cent. Meanwhile, in a year, the penny stock corrected by over 25 per cent. In the last six months, the shares have been down 8 per cent. In five years, the Nandan Denim shares jumped over 180 per cent.

Stock Market Today
The domestic equity indices witnessed a highly volatile session amid uncertainty looming around US-Iran peace talks. At around 1:55 PM, the Sensex was trading at 78,592.41, up 98.87 points or 0.13 per cent. NSE's Nifty50 quoted at 24,381.10, up 27.55 points or 0.11 per cent.
