The much-awaited Rs 22,569-crore National Stock Exchange’s (NSE) initial public offering (IPO) opened for public subscription on Thursday, September 17. The initial share sale was subscribed 0.24 times, or 24 per cent, within hours on the first day, receiving bids for 2,16,50,504 shares against 8,86,42,911total offered shares, according to NSE data till 12:12 PM. Meanwhile, its grey market premium declined below 10 per cent.
The IPO, which is entirely an offer for sale by existing stakeholders, will close on September 21. Earlier, on September 16, the NSE IPO attracted Rs 6,746 crore from anchor investors.

NSE IPO GMP
NSE IPO GMP declined on the first day after the IPO opened for subscription. The NSE’s IPO latest recorded Grey Market Premium was Rs 140, last updated at 11:55 AM on Investorgain–a grey market tracker. The GMP showed an estimated listing at RS 1,925, up 7.84 per cent from the upper price band of Rs 1785.00. Earlier last week, the NSE GMP was hovering over Rs 200 per share.

OFS Size Was Reduced
Due to the reduction in the size of OFS compared to the previously planned 14.9 crore shares, the total issue size has been reduced from the initial estimate of approximately Rs. 30,000 crore. At the lower end of the price range, the issue is valued at approximately Rs. 21,494 crore, while at the upper end it is valued at approximately Rs. 22,569 crore.
