  2. Silver futures jumped Rs 1,563, reaching Rs 2,12,750 per kilogram.
  3. 24k gold rate in India is Rs 1,48,510 per 10 grams.

Gold and Silver prices escalated in early trade in the domestic futures market amid firm demand and easing crude prices. Gold futures, December 4 expiry, rose over Rs 581 to a high of Rs 1,48,499 per 10 grams as compared to the last closing at Rs 1,47,918 on Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX).

Silver futures, due to expire on August 4, jumped Rs 1,563 to an early high at Rs 2,12,750 per kilogram from the last closing of Rs 2,11,187 on MCX.

Last seen, MCX gold was trading at Rs 1,48,354, up Rs 436 or 0.29 per cent. MCX Silver was quoted at Rs 2,11,882, up 695 or 0.33 per cent.

"MCX Gold is advancing at a slower pace than COMEX Gold and is also lagging MCX Silver. A firmer rupee is reducing the benefit of the recovery in international prices, while silver’s rebound from oversold levels has been more pronounced. RBI intervention to support the rupee could further temper domestic bullion gains. The bias remains cautious, with a sustained move above Rs 148,600 needed to stabilise the recovery," said Ponmudi R, CEO of Enrich Money.
