GST Collection April 2026: Gross GST collection for April 20,26 rose 8.7 per cent to a record of about Rs 2.43 lakh crore in April, surpassing the previous all-time high of Rs 2.23 lakh crore, which was recorded in April 2025, government data showed on Friday.
According to the data, gross revenue from domestic transactions increased by 4.3 per cent to cross Rs 1.85 lakh crore. Meanwhile, GST revenue from imports increased by 25.8 per cent to Rs 57,580 crore in April 2026.
Meanwhile, refunds increased by 19.3 per cent to Rs 31,793 crore in April. After adjusting for refunds, total Goods and Services Tax (GST) revenue increased by 7.3 per cent to around Rs 2.11 lakh crore.

GST Collection In March 2026
Total GST revenue in March was recorded at 2 lakh crore. Gross domestic revenue grew by 5.9 per cent to Rs 1.46 lakh crore, and revenue from imports grew by 17.8 per cent to Rs 53,861 crore.
It grew by 13.8 per cent to Rs 22,074 crore in March. After adjusting for tax refunds, net GST revenue rose by 8.2 per cent year-on-year to around Rs 1.78 lakh crore.
Total GST revenue for the financial year 2025-26 (April-March) rose by 8.3 per cent to Rs 22.27 lakh crore. After adjusting for refunds, net revenue for the financial year 2026 rose by 7.1 per cent to Rs 19.34 lakh crore.
