MCX Gold, Silver Rates Today: The prices of precious metals fell in early trade in the domestic futures market on Wednesday amid a strengthening US dollar. The gold futures, June 5 expiry, dipped over Rs 1,100 to an early low of Rs 1,57,959 per 10 grams as compared to last day's closing of Rs 1,59,080 on Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX). Similarly, Silver futures, July 3 expiry, fell over Rs 3,269 to a low of Rs 2,66,850 against the previous session's closing of Rs 2,70,119 on MCX.
Last seen, MCX Gold was trading at Rs 1,58,550, down Rs 530 or 0.33 per cent. MCX Silver was quoted at 270530, down Rs 411 or 0.15 per cent.
"MCX Gold opened with a mild gap up but slipped below yesterday’s low in early trade, and is currently holding above the Rs 1,58,000 mark. Immediate resistance is placed at Rs 1,58,800–Rs 1,59,300; a sustained move above this zone could help strengthen momentum and push prices toward Rs 1,59,800–Rs 1,60,500," said Ponmudi R, CEO of Enrich Money.
24k, 22k Gold Rates In India
The gold rates for all purity levels fell in the domestic retail market as well. According to bullion.co.in, the 24 karat gold rate today is Rs 1,59,200 per 10 grams and the 22 karat gold rate today is Rs 1,45,933 per 10 grams.
Meanwhile, the 20 karat gold rate today in India is Rs 1,32,670, and the 18 karat gold rate is Rs 1,19,400 per 10 grams. AT the same time, the silver rate in the retail market is Rs 2,71,120 per kilogram.
Gold and Silver Rates in the International Market
The bullion prices traded lower in the international futures market as well. Last seen, COMEX Gold was quoted at $42.30 or 0.94 per cent down at $4,468.90 per ounce. COMEX Silver was quoted at $75,070, down $0.089 or 0.12 per cent.
Meanwhile, Brent Crude, the Global Oil Benchmark, was trading at a level of $110 per barrel.
