Gold and silver prices traded lower in the domestic futures market on Friday amid subdued demand. Gold prices fell Rs 818 to Rs 1,44,022 per 10 grams amid a fall in spot demand. At the same time, Silver prices declined Rs 817 to Rs 2,19,150 per kilogram in futures trade as participants reduced their bets.

Gold Price Today

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, the yellow metal contract for delivery in October fell by Rs 818, or 0.56 per cent, to Rs 1,44,022 per 10 grams, with a business turnover of 683 lots.

Analysts attributed the fall in precious metal prices to weak spot demand. Globally, gold futures in New York fell 0.69 per cent to US$4,075 per ounce.

Silver Price Today

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver contracts for September delivery fell by Rs 817, or 0.37 per cent, to Rs 2,19,150 per kg, with a trading turnover of 456 lots.

Analysts said selling by participants was mainly focused on silver prices.

Globally, the white metal fell 0.70 per cent to US$58.57 per ounce in New York.

24k, 22k Gold Rates Today

Gold rates in the domestic retail market remained aligned with the trend in future markets. According to bullion.co.in, the 24 karat gold rate today is Rs 1,44,150 per 10 grams, while 22k gold rate today is Rs 1,32,138 per 10 grams.

At the same time, 20 karat gold rate today is Rs 1,20,125 per 10 grams and 18 karat gold rate today is Rs 1,08,113 per 10 grams.
