- EPFO online services outage extended until July 3, 2026.
- Delay caused by database consolidation and software upgrades.
- Subscribers cannot access PF withdrawals, balance checks, KYC.
The EPF-related online services outage is expected to continue for at least another day as the Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) extended the services restoration timeline. Announcing the third extension, the EPFO announced that the member and employer services will now be restored from 00:00 hrs on July 3, 2026.
"Just a Little Wait for a Better Digital EPFO Experience. Member and Employer services will resume on 3 July 2026 | 00:00 Hrs. We deeply regret the inconvenience caused and appreciate your patience," the retirement body posted on its official portal.
What Is the New Deadline for EPFO Services?
Earlier, the portal was due to open at 00:00 hours on July 1 after remaining suspended for five days from June 26. However, it pushed ahead for July 2 and now, according to the EPFO, it will take another day to be functional–July 3.
The deadline extension means crores of EPFO subscribers will not be able to claim withdrawal of other services through EPFO's official portal.
Why Has the EPFO Outage Been Extended?
According to a notice published on the EPFO Unified Member Portal, this move is due to planned database consolidation and software upgrades for the EPFO claim processing system. Previously, services were expected to resume at 00:00 am on June 29, 2026, but the resumption has been delayed by two days, and now it is set to resume from 00:00 hrs on July 1.
Specific changes, such as ATM or PF withdrawals through UPI, have not been officially announced, as the EPFO has stated that this temporary disruption is necessary to "enhance service delivery, improve processing efficiency, and provide a better user experience."

This technology upgrade aims to make the claims processing system faster, more reliable, and more secure by integrating databases and modernising software applications.
What Remain Ineffective
According to the information shared, all services accessible through the member interface and employer interface will be unavailable during the migration period. This will prevent members and employers from logging into their accounts. Therefore, PF balance checks, withdrawal requests, KYC, and other employee-related services will be affected during this period.
