Bajaj Finance share price soared 7 per cent on Friday after the NBFC giant reported a 28 per cent year-on-year rise in consolidated profit after tax (PAT) for the June quarter of FY27. In early trade, the stock skyrocketed 6.81 per cent to Rs 1,128, touching the 52-week high on the BSE. At the NSE, the stock climbed 7 per cent to Rs 1,128.10, reaching the 52-week high as well.

Q1 Results: PAT at Rs 6,081 crore

Bajaj Finance on Thursday reported a 28% year-on-year rise in consolidated profit after tax (PAT) to ₹6,081 crore in the June quarter of FY27, driven by higher core income and improved asset quality.

The company had posted a PAT of ₹4,765 crore in the same quarter of the previous fiscal.

Net interest income rose 23% to Rs 12,571 crore in the April-June period of FY27 from Rs 10,228 crore in the same period last year, according to data filed with the stock exchange by Bajaj Finance.

The NBFC’s net total income rose 22% to Rs 15,224 crore over the same period last year.

Total non-performing assets as of June 30, 2026 rose to 0.96 per cent from 1.03 per cent a year ago, while net non-performing assets declined from 0.50 per cent to 0.39 per cent in the same period, along with stronger asset quality of the bank.

Stock market benchmarks Sensex and Nifty saw gains, driven by a surge in Bajaj Finance, increased foreign investment, and lower crude oil prices. This upward trend was tempered by profit-booking in IT stocks. BSE Sensex was up 49.91 points to 77,970.95. NSE Nifty Increased by 28 points to 24,343.65.
