Bihar: Speeding Thar Smashes Through Barricade, Rams Into Police Vehicle Near CM Nitish Kumar's Residence; 4 Held

Bihar: A speeding Thar crashed through a barricade in Patna’s VVIP area on Sunday, near the residence of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. The incident occurred when the Thar collided with a patrol vehicle from the Patna police's Shakti Suraksha team. Thankfully, the police officers inside the vehicle narrowly avoided serious injury.

The force of the crash was so intense that the Thar broke through the barricade and ended up on the opposite side of the road.

According to a report by NDTV, both vehicles sustained severe damage to their front ends.

Ajit Kumar, the Deputy Superintendent of Police for Traffic, stated that the accident was caused by the driver's negligence. He confirmed that both vehicles were heavily damaged, with one police officer sustaining injuries. He also noted that the Thar had been speeding at the time of the collision.

Further action will be taken at the traffic police station based on the driver's statement. The department has been actively addressing cases of speeding and will continue to take strict action against those found driving recklessly.

Four individuals have been taken into custody for questioning in connection with the incident. Further updates are expected.
