Volkswagen Tayron India:  The Volkswagen Tayron Life trim has been launched in India with prices starting from Rs 41.99 Lakh (ex-showroom). Notably, the brand launched the Tayron R-Line in India in February this year. The Volkswagen Tayron will rival the likes of the MG Majestor, Toyota Fortuner, and Skoda Kodiaq 7-seater SUVs in the Indian market. Let’s take a look at the design, features, and specs of the newly launched Volkswagen Tayron.

Volkswagen Tayron Life Trim: Design

The Volkswagen Tayron Life trim carries the same silhouette as the Tayron R-Line model. However, several design bits provide the Tayron Life trim with a more simplistic design. It gets a cleaner front bumper with L-shaped slats on the front grille. The front fascia also gets connected LED DRL with dual LED projector headlamps, and a round-shaped illuminated brand logo. On the sides, it features 18-inch alloy wheels with a new design, pull-type door handles, dual-tone ORVMs, and a silver trim above the window that dips down from the roof to the rear glass section. The rear end features a simpler bumper with a connected taillight and an illuminated brand logo.

Volkswagen Tayron Life Trim: Interior & Features

The Volkswagen Tayron Life trim remains pretty much similar to the top-spec Tayron R-Line model inside the cabin. The Tayron Life trim also features a 15-inch touchscreen-based infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. Additional features include a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats with heating and massage functions, dual wireless mobile charging pads, and more. The Tayron offers enhanced safety features, including 9 airbags, a 360-degree camera, and a Level 2 ADAS suite. The life trim features an 8 speaker Harmon Kardon audio system, whereas the top-spec R-Line trim features an 11-speaker setup.

Volkswagen Tayron Life Trim: Engine Specs

The Volkswagen Tayron Life trim is powered by the same 2-litre turbo petrol engine, which is used in the top-spec Tayron R-Line trim. The engine is paired with a 7-speed Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT), and the Tayron Life trim also features an All-Wheel Drive (AWD) setup. The engine is capable of generating a peak power and torque output of 204hp and 320 Nm, respectively.
