2026 Mitsubishi Pajero Debut: Mitsubishi, the Japanese car manufacturer, recently teased the 2026 Mitsubishi Pajero. Notably, the Mitsubishi Pajero is a legendary off-roader in the automotive industry with 12 Dakar Rally Victories. The brand has also confirmed that the SUV will also carry the Monetro nameplate, which confirms that it will be sold in the North American, South American, Philippine, and Spanish markets. Let’s take a look at what can be expected from the upcoming 2026 Mitsubishi Pajero.
2026 Mitsubishi Pajero: The Platform
The upcoming 2026 Mitsubishi Pajero will be based on the ladder-frame platform, and reportedly, it is the same platform used by the brand in its Triton Pickup Truck. It is worth mentioning that the previous-generation Pajero was based on a monocoque chassis. The brand has also confirmed that the SUV will feature dedicated front and rear suspension systems, along with significant modifications and a newly developed cabin.

2026 Mitsubishi Pajero: The Teaser
As mentioned earlier, the 2026 Mitsubishi Pajero was recently teased by the brand. The teaser shared a glimpse of the front fascia of the SUV. A T-Shaped LED DRL is visible in the image, shared by the brand on its official Instagram page. The Mitsubishi logo can also be seen in the teaser image. If reports are to be believed, the upcoming 2026 Mitsubishi Pajero will feature an upright stance with an overall boxy contour and muscular fenders.

2026 Mitsubishi Pajero: Is It Coming To India?
The brand has confirmed that the new Mitsubishi Pajero will be launched in the Autumn of 2026. Notably, the brand has also confirmed through its teaser that the SUV will carry the Montero badge, which was the nameplate used by the brand to sell its legendary off-roader in the North American market. The brand has not yet confirmed if the legendary Mitsubishi Pajero will make a comeback to the Indian market. Notably, the brand exited the Indian market in 2020, and it currently doesn’t sell any vehicles in the country. Thus, it remains to be seen whether the brand will offer the legendary off-roader in the country.
