Tesla Model Y Price In India:  The Tesla Model Y L (Long Wheelbase) model has been launched in India with prices starting from Rs 61.99 lakh (ex-showroom). While the Tesla Model Y L has become the first car to feature a dual electric motor all-wheel drive mode in the country, it has also become the first car to offer the brand’s popular and premium Full Self Drive function, also known as Autopilot mode. Let’s take a look at the range, features, and specs of the newly launched Tesla Model Y L.

Tesla Model Y L: Autopilot

While the Tesla Model Y L is priced at Rs 61.99 lakh (ex-showroom), prospective buyers who want to use the ‘Autopilot’ or Full Self Drive mode feature will have to pay an additional amount of Rs 6 lakh to experience it. Notably, while the Full-Self Drive mode was listed on the brand’s website at the time of launch of the Model Y, the brand had disabled it as it was not compatible with Indian road conditions and regulatory restrictions.

Tesla Model Y Long Wheelbase: Features

The Tesla Model Y long wheelbase is packed with the same set of features as the standard Model Y electric SUV sold in the country. The Tesla Model Y long-wheelbase features a 16-inch touchscreen in the centre at the front, and it controls most functions in the car. The long-range model also offers an 8-inch touchscreen in the second row. It also gets a panoramic glass sunroof and an electrical liftgate. The Model Y boasts some of the most advanced ADAS features, which include a blind spot monitor, lane keep assist, and more.

Tesla Model Y Long Wheelbase: Range & Specs

The Tesla Model Y long wheelbase is powered by the same 62.5 kWh battery pack. However, the Model Y long wheelbase is the first Tesla car to feature a dual-motor all-wheel drive setup. The Tesla Model Y long wheelbase has also become the highest range offering Tesla Model Y variant in the country. It has a claimed WLTP range of 681 kilometres, and 288 kilometres worth of charge can be added in just 15 minutes using the Tesla Supercharger. The Tesla Model Y supports 250 kW fast charging, and it can sprint from 0-100 km/h in just 5 seconds.
