Tata Sierra Launch Date: The Tata Sierra EV is set to be launched in India tomorrow. The ICE Sierra was launched in November 2025, and the launch of the electric iteration of the SUV has remained much-awaited ever since. The brand has been heavily teasing the Sierra EV, and the recent video has revealed several bits of the upcoming electric SUV by the brand. However, a report citing dealer sources has added new information. Let’s take a look.
Tata Sierra EV: Range
As mentioned earlier, the brand has been heavily teasing the upcoming Sierra EV. The recent promotional video by the brand features the Sierra EV conquering the Tal Moreeb dune in Abu Dhabi. In one of the clips, we can see a remaining range of 423 kilometres on the fully digital instrument cluster, along with 80 per cent remaining battery. This suggests that the top-spec QWD variant of the SUV will deliver a range of more than 500 kilometres, once fully charged.

Tata Sierra EV: Base Variant
However, a new report citing dealer sources has shared that the base variant of the Tata Sierra EV will be powered by a 65 kWh battery pack. Notably, the brand has not yet revealed any information regarding the powertrain of the Sierra EV. The report citing dealer sources has further increased the confusion, as the recent video reveals that the top-spec trim will offer a range of more than 500 km.
Notably, the Harrier EV comes equipped with options of either a 65 kWh or a 75 kWh battery pack. While the 65 kWh battery pack with a Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD) powertrain has a claimed range of up to 538 kilometres, the 75 kWh battery pack can deliver a claimed range of up to 627 kilometres. As we know, the top-spec trim of the Sierra EV with QWD will incorporate the larger battery. Now, as per the recent video shared by the brand, the QWD variant is expected to deliver a range of more than 500 kilometres, whereas, as per the report’s claim, the QWD trim should deliver a claimed range of more than 600 kilometres, which is the case with the Harrier EV.

Tata Sierra EV: Design
As mentioned earlier, the brand recently released a new teaser revealing the look of the upcoming Tata Sierra EV. As per the recent teaser, the Sierra EV shares its overall silhouette and design with the ICE model. However, several design elements provide it with a distinct look. The Tata Sierra EV features a closed grille at the front, with the air intake placed lower on the front bumper. The ADAS panel is integrated in the centre of the air intake. On the sides, it gets aero-optimised wheels, flush door handles and thick black body cladding, which remain similar to those of the ICE Tata Sierra. On the rear, it features the same connecting taillight setup as its ICE counterpart, and the only noticeable difference is the Sierra.EV badge on the tailgate.

Tata Sierra EV: Features
The brand has revealed the exterior design elements of the Sierra EV, and the interior and features remain hidden. We expect the Tata Sierra EV to come equipped with the same features as the ICE variant of the SUV. The 2025 Sierra comes equipped with features such as a triple-screen setup, Level 2 ADAS, panoramic sunroof, JBL Black sound system with Dolby Atmos, ventilated seats, a dual-climate control system, and more. We expect the upcoming Tata Sierra EV to come equipped with the same list of features.
