Tata Nexon Prototype Spied Testing; Is It A Facelift Or The New CNG Automatic Variant?

Tata Nexon Facelift 2026:  A prototype of the Tata Nexon was recently spied testing on the Indian roads, and it was heavily camouflaged. The Nexon is currently the brand’s best-selling vehicle, and it is also the third best-selling vehicle in the country. The current generation of the Tata Nexon was launched in the country in 2023, and the sales numbers are good too. Thus, the question that needs to be asked is whether the brand is planning on bringing the Tata Nexon facelift.

Tata Nexon Facelift Spied

The Tata Nexon test mule was spied heavily disguised on the Indian roads. The fully covered test mule suggests that the brand is planning on launching a mid-cycle facelift model. The Tata Punch and Punch EV are also among the brand’s highest-selling and most popular models, and the brand recently launched the facelift models, which further establishes the belief that the brand is planning a facelift model for the Tata Nexon.

Tata Nexon Facelift: CNG Automatic

The recently snapped Tata Nexon test mule also suggests that the brand might be planning on introducing a new powertrain to the Tata Nexon lineup. The Nexon currently doesn’t offer a CNG automatic powertrain option, and it is also possible that the spied test mule was being tested with the same new powertrain. One of the Tata Nexon’s fierce competitors, the Maruti Suzuki Brezza, is also expected to offer a CNG automatic powertrain option. If not upgraded, the Nexon will get a shorter hand. Thus, it is possible for the brand to add the CNG automatic engine option.
