Shahid Kapoor Viral Video:  Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor recently bought a new Mercedes-Benz G Wagon worth Rs 2.90 crore. A video of the actor recently went viral, and he was seen stranded as the G-Wagon door remained locked. Despite his trying several times, the door remained locked, and the video went viral on social media. At Jagran Hitech, we took a deep dive into the video to understand what would’ve gone wrong.

A video was recently shared on the social media platform Instagram by a page named Bollywood_Photographer. The video features Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor trying to unlock his Mercedes-Benz G Wagon. The actor can be seen trying to unlock the car using the Button-based keyless entry system. However, the door remains locked. Later, the actor pulls out the key fob and locks and unlocks the car several times. The G Wagon remained locked, and the actor was then seen trying to figure out what exactly was wrong with the door. After a few minutes of the actor locking and unlocking the car, the doors finally opened.

Shahid Kapoor Viral Video: What Went Wrong?

To understand what exactly went wrong and why Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor struggled with the Mercedes-Benz G-wagon, we will have to first understand how the Mercedes-Benz G-wagon door lock system works. The Mercedes-Benz comes equipped with a keyless entry feature that features a button-based latch system. When a person with the keys to the car pushes the small button on the door handle, the electronic system pulls the latch of the lock, and the doors unlock. At the beginning of the video, we can see the actor doing the same, but the doors remain locked. Then we can see the actor unlocking the car using the key fob. However, the doors of the Mercedes-Benz G Wagon remain locked. This suggests a glitch in the SUV’s central locking mechanism.

Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon: Specs

As informed earlier, Shahid Kapoor has bought the 400d variant of the Mercedes-Benz G-Class. The Mercedes-Benz G-Class comes equipped with a 3.0-litre inline six-engine that is paired with a 48V mild hybrid system. The engine can generate a peak power and torque output of 362 hp and 750 Nm, respectively. The G-Class 400d has a top speed of 210 km/h, and it can sprint from 0-100 km/h in just 5.8 seconds.
