PM Modi Security Convoy: The Reason
The global fuel and energy supply chain has been severely disrupted since the US-Iran war began on February 28, 2026. The war has also resulted in a rapid increase in global crude oil prices. As per reports, India imports more than 90 percent of its crude oil needs. Thus, it is vital to reduce dependency on the global fuel supply, and PM Modi has set an example by leading from the front with the reduction in the size of his security convoy, while calling for the inclusion of EVs.
