The fuel price hike has been announced amid the rising global crude oil prices due to the US-Iran war. According to reports, the recent hike is only about one-tenth of the increase required to fully offset the impact of rising global fuel prices. The impact of the fuel price hike can be mitigated by using more fuel-efficient vehicles, and thus, we have compiled a list of the top 5 cars with the highest ARAI-claimed mileage figures.
Maruti Suzuki Victoris
The Maruti Suzuki Victoris is the second midsize SUV from the country's largest car manufacturer. It is powered by a petrol-hybrid powertrain, and it has an ARAI-claimed mileage of up to 28.65 Km/l. The Maruti Suzuki Victoris is priced between Rs 16.38 lakh (ex-showroom) and Rs 19.99 lakh (ex-showroom).

Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder

The Hyryder has an ARAI-claimed mileage of 27.97 km/l, and it is priced between Rs 16.72 lakh (ex-showroom) and Rs 20.19 lakh (ex-showroom).

The City eHEV has an ARAI-claimed mileage of up to 27.26 km/l, and it is priced at Rs 20 lakh (ex-showroom) in the country.

Notably, the mentioned mileage figures are exclusive to the AGS (automatic transmission) trims of the hatchback, which is priced between Rs 5.61 lakh (ex-showroom) and Rs 6.73 lakh (ex-showroom).
