Hyundai Bayon India Launch:  Hyundai, the South Korean car manufacturer, has confirmed that its upcoming SUV will be called the Hyundai Bayon. The brand has also shared that more details of the SUV will be revealed in the coming weeks. Several prototypes of the Hyundai Bayon have been spied on multiple occasions in the country. Let’s take a look at the expected design, features, and engine specifications.

Hyundai Bayon: Expected Design

As mentioned earlier, several prototypes of the Hyundai Bayon have been spied on multiple occasions. Spied prototypes have hinted that the SUV will feature an upright stance. At the front, it is expected to feature wide LED DRLs, and the main LED headlamps will be positioned lower on the bumper. On the sides, the Bayon by Hyundai is expected to feature traditional pull-type door handles, roof rails, a flat roofline, squared-off wheel arches, and electrically adjustable ORVMs. At the rear, the SUV is expected to feature horizontal LED taillights, a flat tailgate, and a rugged rear bumper with integrated reflectors.

Hyundai Bayon: Expected Features

The Hyundai Bayon is expected to come equipped with a slew of advanced features. The cabin of some of the prototypes has also been spied, and we expect the following key features to be offered with the upcoming Bayon:

  • Dual-display setup with integrated instrument cluster
  • A three-spoke steering wheel with the four-dot Hyundai signature
  • A 360-degree camera
  • Panoramic sunroof
  • Connected car technology
  • Level 2 ADAS
  • Ventilated front seats
  • An automatic climate control system

Hyundai Bayon: Expected Engine & Specs

As per media reports, the upcoming Hyundai Bayon-based SUV will also be offered with the option of a CNG powertrain. The Bayon-based SUV is expected to be powered by the same 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine as the Creta. The CNG-powered version of the Bayon-based SUV is expected to utilise the same engine, and it is expected to feature an underbody CNG tank. According to reports, the Bayon is expected to become the first-ever Hyundai model longer than 4 metres to feature a CNG powertrain. The Bayon will likely include a manual and CVT transmission for the petrol version, whereas the CNG-powered version will likely be offered with a manual and an automatic gearbox.
