Hyundai Bayon India Launch:  Hyundai, the South Korean car manufacturer, has revealed the first official design sketches for its upcoming Hyundai Bayon SUV. The brand recently confirmed that the brand’s upcoming SUV will be called the Bayon. Let’s take a look at the details revealed by the first design sketches along with the expected features and powertrain specifications of the Hyundai Bayon.

Hyundai Bayon: Design Sketches

The brand has shared a total of 3 images showcasing a section of the front fascia of the Hyundai Bayon and the interior. The design sketch for the front fascia includes H-shaped LED DRLs, and it closely resembles the details we have seen on the test mules so far. The main LED headlamps will be positioned lower on the bumper. On the sides, the Bayon by Hyundai is expected to feature traditional pull-type door handles, roof rails, a flat roofline, squared-off wheel arches, and electrically adjustable ORVMs. At the rear, the SUV is expected to feature horizontal LED taillights, a flat tailgate, and a rugged rear bumper with integrated reflectors.

Hyundai Bayon: Expected Features

The sketches of the interior of the Hyundai Bayon look close to the recently unveiled new-generation Hyundai i20. The Bayon is expected to come equipped with a slew of advanced features, including:

  • Dual-display setup with integrated instrument cluster
  • A three-spoke steering wheel with the four-dot Hyundai signature
  • A 360-degree camera
  • Panoramic sunroof
  • Connected car technology
  • Level 2 ADAS
  • Ventilated front seats
  • An automatic climate control system

Hyundai Bayon: Expected Engine & Specs

As per media reports, the upcoming Hyundai Bayon-based SUV will also be offered with the option of a CNG powertrain. The Bayon-based SUV is expected to be powered by the same 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine as the Creta. The CNG-powered version of the Bayon-based SUV is expected to utilise the same engine, and it is expected to feature an underbody CNG tank. According to reports, the Bayon is expected to become the first-ever Hyundai model longer than 4 metres to feature a CNG powertrain. The Bayon will likely include a manual and CVT transmission for the petrol version, whereas the CNG-powered version will likely be offered with a manual and an automatic gearbox.
