Maruti Suzuki Jimny Car:  Maruti Suzuki, the largest car manufacturer in India, launched the Maruti Suzuki Jimny in 2023. The SUV has remained popular in India, as well as overseas, since its launch. The brand has now introduced the most expensive version of the Jimny in Australia. The new version is called ‘Maruti Suzuki Jimny XL Rhino Special Edition’. Notably, the standard 5-door Jimny is called the Jimny XL in Australia. Let’s take a look at what makes it special.

Maruti Suzuki Jimny Rhino Special Edition: Exterior

The Maruti Suzuki Jimny Rhino edition comes equipped with several exterior changes that make it more rugged. On the front, the Jimny XL Rhino Edition features a black hexagonal grille with side skirts and an aluminium-styled skid plate. On the sides, it features gloss black and stain silver decals with a graphic Rhino, along with 15-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. The Rhino Edition will be exclusively offered in the Kinetic Yellow paint, which was exclusively offered with the three-door Jimny in Australia earlier.

Maruti Suzuki Jimny Rhino Special Edition: Interior

On The Inside, the overall cabin layout and design remain the same. However, the Rhino-themed graphic continues with badging on the dashboard, along with satin silver trims, black leather inserts, and kinetic yellow stitching. The manual trims will come equipped with a retro-styled gear knob, and the Rhino edition features an upgraded Pioneer front speaker system, floor and luggage mats, and multicoloured ambient footwell lighting. Bits such as fibre upholstery, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and a 9-inch touchscreen-based infotainment system are retained from the standard variant of the SUV.

Maruti Suzuki Jimny Rhino Special Edition: Powertrain & Price

While it gets special elements in terms of exterior and interior, the Jimny Rhino continues with the same 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine and the brand’s AllGrip Pro All-Wheel Drive (AWD) system. The engine is capable of generating a peak power output of 101hp. The Maruti Suzuki Jimny XL Rhino Special Edition has been launched at a price of AU$ 44,990 (approximately Rs 29.71 lakh) for the manual variant, and AU$ 47,900 (approximately Rs 31.70 lakh) for the automatic variant, in Australia.
