MG Majestor Vs Toyota Fortuner:  The MG Majestor has finally been launched in India with prices starting from Rs 40.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The Majestor was unveiled in the country on February 12, and its launch was much-awaited ever since. The Majestor will rival the long-reigning Toyota Fortuner in the country. Let’s take a look at the comparison between the Toyota Fortuner and the MG Majestor in terms of dimensions, features, and pricing.

MG Majestor Vs Toyota Fortuner: Pricing

The MG Majestor will be offered in a total of 2 broad trims: the Majestor Savy 4x2 and the Majestor Savy 4x4. While the Majestor Savy 4x2 is priced at Rs 40.99 lakh (ex-showroom), the Majestor 4x4 is priced at Rs 44.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The Toyota Fortuner, on the other hand, is available in a total of 8 variants that are priced between Rs 34.76 lakh (ex-showroom) and Rs 50.46 lakh (ex-showroom). The 4x2 variants of the Fortuner are priced between Rs 34.76 lakh (ex-showroom) and Rs 42.92 lakh (ex-showroom), whereas the 4x4 trims of the SUV are priced between Rs 39.35 lakh (ex-showroom) and Rs 50.46 lakh (ex-showroom).

MG Majestor Vs Toyota Fortuner: Dimensions

The MG Majestor is 5,046mm long, 2,016mm wide, and 1,876mm tall. The Fortuner, on the other hand, is 4,795mm long, 1,855 wide, and 1,835mm tall. Based on the dimensions, we can deduce that the Majestor is 251mm longer, 161mm wider, and 41mm taller than the Toyota Fortuner. The Majestor has a wheelbase of 2,950mm, while the Fortuner offers a wheelbase of 2,745. The Majestor has an additional wheelbase of 205mm, but the Fortuner has a higher ground clearance by 6mm.

MG Majestor Vs Toyota Fortuner: Features

The Majestor comes equipped with dual 12.3-inch touchscreens for infotainment and digital driver’s display. The Fortuner, on the other hand, comes equipped with an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The Majestor has a 12-speaker JBL studio system, whereas the Fortuner has an 11-speaker JBL audio system. The Majestor offers ventilated/heated seats with massage options, whereas the Fortuner only offers ventilated front seats. The Fortuner offers standard safety equipment, whereas the Majestor comes equipped with a Level 2 ADAS suite with more than 30 active and passive safety features.

MG Majestor Vs Toyota Fortuner: Engine Specs

The MG Majestor draws its power from a 2.0-litre twin-turbocharged diesel engine that generates a peak power and torque output of 212 bhp and 478 Nm, respectively. The Fortuner draws its power from a 2.8-litre turbo diesel engine, which generates 201 hp and 500 Nm torque. The Majestor offers only an 8-speed ZF automatic transmission, whereas the Fortuner offers options of either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission. While both of these SUVs come equipped with a 4x4 powertrain, the Majestor also offers 10 different modes and a triple-differential lock that is a first-in-segment feature. The Fortuner, on the other hand, offers an electronic differential lock with 3 modes.
