Mercedes-Benz CLA Electric Price: The Mercedes-Benz CLA electric has been launched in India with prices starting from Rs 55 lakh (ex-showroom). The launch of the CLA EV marks the first time that the iconic sedan nameplate is being offered in an electric iteration. The newly launched CLA EV recently scored a 5-star safety rating in crash tests organised by Euro NCAP. Let’s take a look at the safety ratings, features, range, and specs of the newly launched Mercedes-Benz CLA EV.
Mercedes-Benz CLA Electric: Safety Ratings
The Mercedes-Benz CLA electric has scored a 5-star safety rating from Euro NCAP. It has scored 94 per cent in terms of Adult Occupant Protection, whereas the electric sedan by Mercedes has scored 89 per cent in terms of Child Occupant Protection. For vulnerable road users such as pedestrians and cyclists, the CLA has scored 93 per cent.

Mercedes-Benz CLA Electric: Features
The Mercedes-Benz CLA electric is heavily packed in terms of features. While the CLA 200 Standard Range and CLA 250+ Long Range feature a 14-inch touchscreen display in the centre, the top-spec CLA Launch Edition comes equipped with a triple-display-based Super screen setup. Other notable features of the Mercedes CLA EV include OTA (Over The Air) updates, wireless charging, USB Type-C ports with 100W output, and a sporty steering wheel with mounted controls. In terms of safety, it features front, side, and central airbags and a Level-2 ADAS suite.

Mercedes-Benz CLA Electric: Range & Specs
The Mercedes-Benz CLA electric comes equipped with an 85 kWh battery pack. The top-spec CLA 250+ Long Range and the CLA Launch Edition have the highest 792 km of claimed WLTP range. The power and torque output of both of these variants are also the same and stand at 268 hp and 335 Nm, respectively. Both of these variants support 320 kW of DC fast charging, and they can sprint from 0-100 km/h in just 6.7 seconds. The top speed for these variants stands at 210 km/h, and the brand claims that 20 minutes of DC fast charging can add up to 400 kilometres worth of range.
The base-spec CLA 200 Standard Range edition generates peak power and torque output of 221 hp and 335 Nm, respectively. It can support 200 kW of DC fast charging, and 20 minutes of charging with the DC fast charger can add up to 320 km worth of range. The base-spec variant of the Mercedes CLA EV can sprint from 0-100 km/h in 7.5 seconds, and it has a claimed WLTP range of 542 km.
