Mercedes AMG E53 Price In India:  The Mercedes AMG E53 hybrid sedan has been launched in India with prices starting from Rs 1.45 crore (ex-showroom). With this launch, the AMG E53 nameplate has marked a return to the Indian market, as the previous-generation model was discontinued in 2021, and the AMG E53 Cabriolet was discontinued in 2023. Let’s take a look at the design, features, and engine specifications of the newly launched Mercedes-AMG E53 hybrid sedan.

Mercedes-AMG E53: Design

When compared to the standard Mercedes-Benz E-Class sedan, the Mercedes-AMG E53 looks sportier. The AMG E53 features a new front fascia comprising the signature AMG grille with illumination, a revised bumper with larger air intakes, and eyebrow-shaped LED DRLs with dual projector LED headlamps. On the sides, the fenders are widened by 11mm each, and it also gets a new design for alloy wheels. At the rear, it gets four round exhaust outlets, LED taillights with dual three-point-star DRLs, a boot-lid spoiler, and a redesigned rear bumper with a blacked-out diffuser.

Mercedes-AMG E53: Interior & Features

The Mercedes-AMG E53 gets a dual-tone theme interior with dark grey and beige shades. It gets a three-spoke steering wheel with mounted controls and a flat bottom. In terms of features, the Mercedes-AMG E53 comes equipped with a dual-screen setup with a 12.3-inch driver’s display and a 14.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The brand will also offer the option of Superscreen to customers, which adds a third screen for the front passenger. Additional features include a Burmester audio system, ambient lighting, a panoramic sunroof, a wireless mobile charger, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, a 360-degree camera, and more.

Mercedes-AMG E53: Engine & Performance

The Mercedes-AMG E53 draws power from a 3-litre straight-six turbo petrol engine, which is paired with an electric motor integrated within the 9-speed automatic gearbox. The AMG E53 also gets the brand’s 4Matic All-Wheel Drive (AWD) system, and it is capable of generating a peak power and torque output of 585 hp and 750 Nm, respectively. However, customers can also opt for the AMG Dynamic Plus package, which increases the power output to 612 hp. The AMG Dynamic Plus Package gets Race Mode, and when it is activated, the hybrid sedan can sprint from 0-100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds. The brand claims that the AMG E53 hybrid has a top speed of 280 km/h.
