Toyota Starlet Safety Rating:  The Toyota Starlet, a rebadged version of the Toyota Glanza, has secured 0 stars in crash tests organised by the Global NCAP (GNCAP). Notably, the Toyota Starlet is based on the Maruti Suzuki Baleno premium hatchback, and it is sold as the Toyota Glanza in the Indian market. Let’s take a look at the Toyota Starlet crash test results from GNCAP.

Toyota Starlet Zero Stars In AOP

The Toyota Starlet has scored 0 out of a maximum of 34 points in terms of Adult Occupant Protection (AOP). GNCAP tested the Starlet in terms of front and side impact. The frontal impact tests show that the driver’s head received weak safeguarding, while the chest area saw minimal protection. Side impact tests have shown poor protection for the driver’s head and chest area.

Toyota Starlet Safety Rating: COP

While the Toyota Starlet scored 0 points out of a maximum of 34 in terms of Adult Occupant Protection (AOP), and scored 0 stars, it has scored 29.33 points out of a maximum of 49 points in terms of Child Occupant Protection, and secured a 3-star safety rating. During the side impact tests, the head of the child dummy used in the tests was exposed to contact, which reduced points for the Toyota Starlet.
