Maruti Suzuki E Vitara Safety Features:  The Maruti Suzuki E Vitara was launched in India on February 17, 2026. The BaaS (Battery as a Service) variant of the E Vitara is priced from Rs 10.99 lakh (ex-showroom) onwards, while pricing for the battery-fitted version starts from Rs 15.99 lakh in the country. The Maruti Suzuki E Vitara has recently secured a 4-star rating in crash tests organised by ANCAP (Australian NCAP). Let’s take a look at the safety ratings and safety features of the Maruti Suzuki E Vitara.

Maruti Suzuki E Vitara: Safety Ratings

As informed earlier, the Maruti Suzuki E Vitara has secured a 4-star rating in the ANCAP tests. The SUV has scored 77 per cent in terms of Adult Occupant Protection (AOP), while it has scored 87 per cent in terms of Child Occupant Protection (COP). The SUV has also recorded 77 per cent in Vulnerable Road User Protection, and it has also scored 71 per cent for safety assist.

Maruti Suzuki E Vitara: Safety Features

In terms of safety, the first-ever electric Maruti car comes loaded with features such as 7-airbags, ABS with EBD (electronic brakeforce distribution), an electronic parking brake with auto hold function, hill hold assist, and a Level 2 ADAS suite. The Level 2 ADAS suite is exclusively available with top-spec trims of the electric SUV in the country.

Maruti Suzuki E Vitara: Range & Battery Pack

The Maruti Suzuki E Vitara comes equipped with options of either a 49 kWh or a 61 kWh battery pack. The E Vitara by Maruti Suzuki also gets a Front-Wheel Drive and All Wheel Drive configurations (Maruti Suzuki’s All Grip); however, the All Grip will be offered only with the 61 kWh battery pack. The Maruti Suzuki E Vitara has an Arai-claimed range of up to 543 kilometres, once fully charged. The Maruti Suzuki Vitara, with its front-wheel drive version, can generate 142 bhp and 189 Nm, respectively. The all-wheel drive variant, on the other hand, generates 172 bhp and 300 Nm of torque.
