Lexus ES 500e Video Review: The Lexus ES 500e was launched in India on March 20, 2026, for Rs 89.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The brand began its journey in the EV segment of India with the launch of ES 500e. The ES 500e is based on the brand’s TNGA-K platform, and it is sold as a completely knocked-down (CKD) unit in the Indian market. The Jagran Hitech team recently got a chance to spend some time with the recently launched Lexus ES 500e, and here’s our video review of the same.

Lexus ES 500e EV: Features
The Lexus ES 500e gets several advanced features inside the cabin. It gets a 14-inch touchscreen infotainment system, along with a 12.3-inch fully digital driver’s display. Additionally, it also features a large panoramic glass roof, proximity sensor-based controls, lower window sills, and LED lights synced with the speaker grille in the door pads. It also comes equipped with electrically powered front seats with built-in temperature control and memory functions, a massage function, adaptive high beam assist, a heads-up display, an electrically powered tailgate, and multi-coloured ambient lighting. In terms of safety, it gets an electronic parking brake with auto hold function, a driver drowsiness alert system, hill-hold assist, 10 airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), and parking sensors around the vehicle. It also features a Level 2 ADAS suite.

Lexus ES 500e EV: Range
The Lexus ES 500e electric sedan draws its power from a 74.69 kWh battery pack, which has been paired with a dual-electric motor setup, and it can generate a peak power output of 338 hp. The ES 500e can sprint from 0-100 km/h in 5.7 seconds, and the claimed range stands at 580 kilometres, once charged completely. As per media reports, the brand will also launch a Hybrid variant in the country later.
